Michael Jackson Music Sales Set New iTunes Records

As news of the unexpected death of legendary performer Michael Jackson ricocheted through the media, many of his fans are responding by purchasing their favorite songs and albums. Sales of MJ's music, albums and videos are currently dominating online music stores such as iTunes and Amazon and have set new industry records.
For the first (and probably the only) time in iTunes, one person is responsible for nine out of the top ten albums in the Top Albums chart. The Top Songs chart is also being dominated by Jackson hits with eight of the top ten songs belonging to the artist.
MJ's impact on Amazon is much more profound on Amazon where sales of his media represent the top 15 in the Bestseller in Music Chart and the top 12 in the Music Videos and Concerts Charts.
