MMS for iPhone Now Available on AT&T

As previously announced, AT&T began a sequenced nation-wide roll out of MMS for the iPhone. MMS requires iPhone OS 3.1 and the latest carrier update. Apple has released a support document with details about updating.

June 1st Cover of New Yorker Drawn On iPhone

It took Artist Jorge Colombo an ENTIRE hour standing outside Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum in Times Square to paint the June 1st Cover of the New Yorker. To create the masterpiece, he used the iPhone app called Brushes, which is available in the App Store for $4.99.

Visuamobile Launches 350 App Giveaway with iPhone Spree

AT&T Finally Releases myWireless App For iPhone

Yesterday, AT&T finally released their very own wireless account management app for the iPhone. Called myWireless Mobile Home, the app puts most of the feature that are available on the company's website into one stable package. This one is definitely a keeper. The app is available as a free download from the App Store.

Preview Screenshots of Sims 3 for the iPhone

We first saw a preview of EA's upcoming Sims 3 for the iPhone at Apple's iPhone 3.0 media event last March. Now EA has posted screenshots online for our viewing pleasure, and they look great! The Sims 3 will be one of the first games to incorporate in-app purchases, a feature of the upcoming iPhone 3.0 OS.  Enjoy!

Apple Turns On Push Notification Service

Apple on Thursday turned on the push notification service for iPhone 3.0 Beta developers. The company sent out an email asking developers to begin testing their apps with the new service and to join the developers' forum to discuss any issues. Push notification is Apple's current alternative to allowing apps to run in the background and will be officially released this summer with iPhone 3.0.

Video Recording and Editing in Next Gen iPhone

Over the weekend, Austrian site Benm.at revealed some UI files that were unearthed in the iPhone 3.0 beta that hinted at video editing features in Apple's next generation iPhone. While we have not yet verified the presence of the files they discovered, we can confirm that video recording will be coming to the the next generation iPhone.

Next-gen iPod Touch to support low-power 802.11n

Taking a look under the hood of the upcoming iPhone 3.0 Beta OS has revealed additional info about new features that Apple's next gen iPod Touch could possibly offer. The file in question is the iPod3,1.boot.script that specifies the use of a new Broadcom chip (BCM4329) to handle wireless and bluetooth capabilities with support for 802.11n connectivity. 9 to 5 Mac did some background research on the chip and found some interesting details on the chip:
